DWYL 01 Your Burning Desire

  • Welcome to Your Burning Desire
    • You are introduced to the Do What You Love Change the World curriculum
    • You receive an introduction to the Your Burning Desire course
    • You assess your current capability with different aspects of igniting your burning desire – passion, imagination, listening, identity, and purpose
  • Laying The Foundation
    • You explore what it takes to dream big
    • You clarify what they are passionate about
    • You imagine what it looks like at the end of the program if the program is a wild success for you
  • The Future and Me
    • You create a new relationship to the future 
    • You become aware of the limiting beliefs you have about the future and themselves
    • You begin to know yourself as someone who can generate a new future beyond what is predictable
  • What is Mine To Do
    • You identity your gifts
    • You look at the intersection of your gifts, what you are passionate about, and the areas in the world you would like to improve.
    • You determine what’s yours to do in the world and the impact you would like to see in the world.
  • Surviving to Thriving
    • You discover the automatic ways you respond to circumstances in life which leaves you mainly doing more of what you’ve done before
    • This gives you a life of more of the same, surviving the current condition
    • You begin practicing taking action from a generated future, moving into thriving
  • Creating a Purpose Statement
    • You draft a purpose statement that captures what you are passionate about generating in the world and how you will approach this
  • A Place to Stand
    • You celebrate the accomplishment of what you have generated for yourself in the course
    • You evaluate your progress in the different dimensions of your burning desire – passion, imagination, listening, identity, and purpose

 

DWYL 02 Your Big Idea

  • Welcome to Your Big Idea
    • You are introduced to the Your Big Idea course
    • You assess your current capability with different aspects of generating a big idea that will fulfill your passion and purpose – being for, contribution, generating, backcasting, and dedication
  • The Big Picture
    • You explore what you are for, what you would like to see in the future, distinct from what you are against, what you don’t want to see
    • You imagine a future in which your purpose is fulfilled
      • Including imagining yourself in that future and how it feels
  • Forming Your Big Idea
    • You identify the outcomes in the reality you imagined of what the future looks like having fulfilled your purpose
      • What will be there that’s not there now
    • You select one or more outcomes you feel most demonstrates that your purpose is being fulfilled and that you would be thrilled to work on making real
  • The Reality of Time
    • You look backward in time from the imagined future and outcomes 
    • You identify milestones along the way that allowed for success
    • You develop milestones all the way back to three to six months from the current date
  • Ready to Launch
    • You celebrate the accomplishment of what you have generated for yourself in the course
    • You evaluate your progress in the different dimensions of your big idea – being for, contribution, generating, backcasting, and dedication

 

DWYL 03 Your Bold Action

  • Taking Bold Action
    • You are introduced to the Your Bold Action course
    • You assess your current capability with different aspects of taking bold action that will make real your big idea and fulfill your passion and purpose – connection, planning, prototyping, daring, realizing
  • Prototyping
    • You develop a prototype of your project; something you can do in one week that will provide you with information and learning about the way forward toward success in accomplishing the outcomes that will fulfill your purpose
    • You clarify the feedback you would like to get 
    • You schedule all of the activities that will allow you to design and run your prototype
  • Action!
    • You take action and run the prototype you have designed
    • You review the results and feedback from the prototype 
    • You begin to design your next prototype
  • Creating a 90-Day Plan
    • You develop a plan, including scheduling time in your calendar, for the next three of taking action to achieve the first milestone you set
  • Momentum
    • You deepen your appreciation of acknowledging what has been accomplished and the contribution of others, and how this is essential for realizing your big idea
    • You develop an appreciation of what it takes to hold an intention over the long term 
    • You establish support structures going forward
  • Completion
    • You acknowledge and celebrate their accomplishment and what they are taking on for the future
    • You evaluate your progress in the different dimensions of your bold action – connection, planning, prototyping, daring, realizing
